The Cult has new music; listen to “A Cut Inside”

The Cult have shared a new song called “A Cut Inside” which will feature on their upcoming album Under The Midnight Sun.

The track rides guitarist Billy Duffy’s lithe electric lead and hypnotic rhythms, with frontman Ian Astbury eyeing the community around him with suspicion: “No heathen in heaven / No sweet surrender / Outsiders forever / Ghosts of our lives.”

“A Cut Inside” follows their debut single “Give Me Mercy” (HERE), a song that the website Consequence says “feels classically Cult as the band wraps their gothic rock influences with a modern sheen.”

Under the Midnight Sun was produced by Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Ghost, Royal Blood) and will be released on October 7 via Black Hill Records. Listen to “A Cut Inside” HERE or in the player below:
